Paris. What can I say. This was one of the those trips that pushed me as a traveler. This time entering Europe I was alone which has set a different tone for the trip. I had to figure out what I was willing to compromise in terms of comfort versus price. The first day from now on I will be treating myself to some comforts, but after that I need to find a grocery store. This time I was not nearly as confident entering my hostel, so I spent more than I was hoping just for the sake of comfort. Once I got settled though it got better, but I never truly relaxed. The trip though was amazing. I love Paris, and besides a little bit of an aggressive peddler there was not a single complaint. I knew the city was going to be expensive and that as long as I kept up communication on my phone then I would feel lonely but not isolated. The best part of the trip was hands down the Eiffel Tower. I do not think I will be able to top drinking Champagne in formal dress inside the Eiffel Tower with some of my great friends. Besides that the language was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the sights were tremendous. I am excited to compare it to Southern France in about a month when I travel to Nice.
